Bethany Spurr, one of our previous Orientation + Baylor Line Camp leaders, shared with us the impact that Baylor Line Camp has had on her!
“Line Camp completely shaped my college journey. I started as a nervous but excited high school senior who was confident Baylor was the place for me. That week of Orientation and Line Camp in the summer of 2022 was truly life changing. For the first time, everything felt aligned. I felt that God brought me here for a specific reason, to make an impact on a community and a place I love so much.
I loved everything about my experience with Camp. What stands out most is the intentionality behind it, from the leaders, to Student Leadership Team, to staff. Every detail is designed to create a meaningful and impactful experience for new students. Camp is structured in such a thoughtful way that it naturally builds community and fosters real friendships.
I especially appreciated the balance between high-energy fun activities and the more reflective, insightful lectures. That combination made the experience both exciting and grounding. One talk that has stayed with me is “Story and Calling.” Even now, as I approach the end of my senior year, I find myself reflecting on it and thinking about my next steps. That speaks to the lasting impact Line Camp can have.”
