🎓 Meet Liz Lake, our 2026 BSW Outstanding Student of the Year! 💚💛⁠
⁠
A senior from Tulsa, Oklahoma, and the first in her family to attend college, Liz found her calling in after seeing firsthand the impact a social worker had on her family.⁠
⁠
At Baylor, Liz has combined her passion for advocacy with leadership, service, and hands-on experience. She is passionate about access, and advocacy, and understanding how policy can address systemic issues.⁠
⁠
Through her internship at Heart of Texas Goodwill Industries and her work as a registered behavior technician, Liz continues to put her passion for helping others into action.⁠

Her advice to future social workers? “Do the next right thing.” 💚⁠

We’re so proud to celebrate Liz and all she has accomplished at Baylor Social Work. We can’t wait to see where her passion for advocacy takes her next! 🎓✨⁠

The IBH grant prepares MSW students to provide integrated behavioral health services in primary care settings.

Students gain training to address mental health needs and support healthy behaviors while helping address the growing shortage of behavioral health professionals in primary care.
