Father-and-son duo Alan and Robbie Lenz shared the joy of Baylor commencement this weekend as they BOTH graduated in the Class of 2026!
🐻 BAYLOR PROUD STORY: bit.ly/BU-father-son
Alan, EdD ’26, had heard all the stories about Baylor from his wife, Allison, BA ’94. Then the couple sent two of their kids to Baylor, and he heard even more incredible stories — enough that he felt he was missing out as the only non-Baylor member of his family.
This past weekend, Alan received his doctorate in learning and organizational change from the Moody School of Education, and Robbie graduated with a BA in communication.
Alan completed the EdD program online while continuing in his full-time role as head of school at St. Philip’s Episcopal School in Beeville, Texas. “This is the hardest I’ve ever worked on anything,” he said. “Baylor is not an easy school, and you’ve got to work hard.”
St. Philip’s set up a special pep rally for him on Principal Appreciation Day in celebration. “They all wore Baylor T-shirts and colors,” he said. “And my wife, who was a twirler at Baylor and has a twirling team here at the school, bought her team Baylor shirts, and they did a little twirling routine for us. They also taught all the kids how to do ‘Sic ’em, Bears!'"
and congratulations, Lenz Family! You're 100% green and gold now!
