REINHARDT UNIVERSITY HIGH SCHOOL HONOR BAND CLINIC
• Thursday 1/19/23 through Saturday 1/21/23, at the Falany Performing Arts Center, Reinhardt University Campus, Waleska, GA
• The clinic will feature Dr. John Culvahouse, conductor of the Tennessee Wind Symphony, as clinician, guest performances by Tara Winds (Dr. Andrea Strauss, conductor) and the Etowah High School Wind Symphony (Mr. Stephen Long, conductor), and a host band performance by the Reinhardt University Wind Emsemble (Dr. Kerry Bryant, conductor, Mr. Dennis Naughton, asst. conductor).
• Student nominations are due 12/23/22 and can be submitted on reinhardt.festivalrosters.com. Selected students will be posted 1/4/23, cancelation deadline 1/6/23. Fee is 90$ per selected student, payable at registration on 1/19/23 and includes RU Honor Band shirt and one dinner on campus.
• Also includes masterclasses with RU Artist Affiliate Instrumental Faculty and the option to audition at the clinic for RU band scholarships

Information about the Atlanta Opera's production of Mason Bates' (R)evolution of Steve Jobs, which includes RU faculty members Kelly Bryant (flute), Christina Gavin (oboe), and Mackenzie Newell (horn) as performers!

Come to The Falany Performing Arts Center tonight at 7:30 to see Reinhardt's first annual alumni concert where the Wind Ensemble will be joined by returning Reinhardt alumni for two pieces! Free and open to the public!

CONGRATS to our concerto competition contestants that played Tues. evening in Flint Hall. The committee selected Alix Sherry, flute, as the winner and Olivia Banks, also flute, as alternate. Alix will be performing Cecil Chaminade: Concertino with the RUWE on a concert in Fall 2022. Both Olivia and Alix were outstanding. I hope you will take time to congratulate them!

Today's Member Spotlight is Michael Faire! Michael is from Lambert HS, and he's a third year music performance major at RU. He loves working in the music library and tech department at RU. He likes listening to works by Gustav Mahler and 20th/21st century works, and he's also principal bass trombone with the Alpharetta Symphony.

RU Wind Ensemble Member Spotlights~ Today's RU Member Spotlight is Bri Renaud! Bri is from Woodstock High School and she is in her second year at Reinhardt as a Music Ed major. In her free time, Bri likes hiking & kayaking. She likes being in the wind ensemble at Reinhardt because it’s a tight-knit community, and you learn a lot as both a musician and a future music educator!
