Congratulations to Brandeis senior Emma Liu ‘26 who has been awarded a Fulbright-Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation Award for Research in Science and Technology. Emma, a BS/MS Neuroscience candidate with a minor in Mathematics, will spend the year researching chromatin accessibility via transcription factor interactions in a circadian context. She has worked in the Rosbash Lab studying circadian structural plasticity throughout college, and previously interned at Johnson & Johnson to help develop and improve treatments in the pipeline for relapse/refractory Lymphoma. She is also a second-year captain of the Brandeis Track & Field team. After Fulbright, Emma intends to pursue a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology and contribute to translational research on neurodegenerative diseases.
