*Subject-Specific Tutoring: Subject-specific tutors provide in over 70 courses, including accounting, biology, chemistry, economics, history, math, and psychology. Visit our website for current schedule of course tutoring. Math tutors are available at all times the Learning Commons is open.
*Study Skills Tutoring: Study skills tutors provide indiv
idualized assistance for any course with strategies for note-taking, time management and test-taking strategies, along with helping you develop a plan for success. Schedule an appointment today or stop by anytime to get started.
*Writing Center: The Writing Center provides help with writing assignments from all UCM department during every stage of the writing process from brainstorming to your final draft. We will assist with everything from abstracts to creative writing and assays to research papers, technical reports and theses.
*Supplemental Instruction: Supplemental Instruction (SI) is a program that offers weekly structured learning and study groups for difficult courses. SI sessions are led by student leaders who attend the class and work with faculty to make the SI sessions specific to that instructor’s methods. *Test Prep Center: The Test Prep Center provides electronic and print resources to help students prepare for most exams. Whether you need general suggestions about preparing for your next course exam or plan to take a standardized exam like Missouri Educator Gateway Assessments, Graduate Record Examinations, or Law School Admission Tests, the Test Prep Center can provide that support. Students will learn what to expect, how to prepare and be able to practice sample questions for their upcoming exam.
