Today begins the removal of the old organ at First United Methodist Church in Athens, Georgia, so that organ chamber renovation work can commence. QPO opus 77 will be installed next Spring!

As a part of the preparation for Opus 77, First United Methodist Church in Athens has undertaken a renovation of Sanctuary and Chancel which include a ceiling treatment over the existing plaster vaulting for greater acoustical reflectivity, removal of carpet and installation of limestone in the Nave, and installation of hardwood in the Chancel. Here are a few shots of the work in progress.

While installation of our Opus 76 (4 manuals, 100 ranks) is in progress at Dunwoody United Methodist Church in Dunwoody, Georgia, construction is also underway for Opus 77 (4 manuals, 65 ranks) at First United Methodist Church in Athens, Georgia.
