Last Friday, the NWCAA hosted a discussion on the state of U.S. defense strategy in the face of rising global threats from Russia, Iran, and China. Dr. Richard Andres and Gen T. Michael Moseley, USAF (Ret.), moderated by Lt Gen David A. Deptula, USAF (Ret.), examined how the 1986 Goldwater-Nichols Reform Act has contributed to under-resourcing critical warfighting forces. The panel explored how bureaucratic restructuring of the DoD has restricted long-term strategic planning, leaving the U.S. military struggling to defend the rules-based international order that has long been the foundation of its foreign policy. Thank you to our panelists and attendees for your engagement!
