Celebrating our last officially outing! Thank you to these amazing students, yesterday we saw their passion and intelligence at work examining problems of deep domestic and national import. Today, we celebrate work well done at the ballet, and I got to introduce them to a favorite DC tradition: all the lovely DC twists at our hometown Nutcracker.
Thanks .hsdc students. Happy (almost) holidays from the Hopkins Semester DC, JHU’s residential DC semester

It was an incredible honor and privilege to have lunch with Dr. Michael F. Jacobson, founder of the National Food Museum and co-founder of the Center for Science in the Public Interest. A national leader in the movement for healthier diets and food policy, Dr. Jacobson brought more than five decades of experience to our conversation. He shared stories about coining the terms “junk food” and “food porn,” and about his work advocating for nutrition labels on food, including adding trans fat data and other consumer-focused improvements. Truly a pleasure to speak to this legend!
