GREEN (Georgetown Renewable Energy and Environmental Network) is a not-for-profit energy action team founded by Georgetown University students with the conviction that sustainability is central to the world's future. We are committed to sustainability as a cause and an idea and we are dedicated to promoting environmental conservation, preservation and protection through education, advocacy and vol

unteer work. On Georgetown University's campus, throughout the nation's capitol, and around the world in places like Haiti, Malawi, and Paraguay, we work on real, concrete projects. We work with innovative technologies like solar power, geothermal heating, and energy savings techniques. All the while, we educate Georgetown students on the possibilities and careers in the clean energy field.

Thank you to and for supporting the project of 7 GREEN members motivated to reduce waste, incentivize reuse, and support on our campus.

This spring, they won the Green Commons Award which provided them the funds to store donated dorm materials which they will sell during move in through a pop up store on campus (similar to our clothing racks locations). All proceeds of the project will go directly to mutual aid.

We look forward to watching this project unfold and supporting a more circular economy on our campus going forward!!
