Howard University has created a Web portal:
Students First: A Guide to the Howard Experience 2010, to assist
new, transfer and returning students with the essential information they
need to know regarding the upcoming academic year, campus life and the
history of Howard. It is our hope that students
take a moment to explore the site to ensure that they are not only
ready for the fall, but that they begin to learn what the
Howard Experience has to offer and what it means to be a Bison at the Mecca.

Please visit the Howard homepage at www.howard.edu and click on the Students First link.

All HU graduate students are required to pass the Graduate School's Expository Writing Examination, unless they have scored a 5.0 or higher on the GRE writing test. Those students who scored a 5.0 or higher on the GRE writing test are not required to pass the Expository Writing Examination, having demonstrated the necessary proficiency in English and Expository Writing. Those who have not scored a 5.o or who have not taken the written portion of the GRE must register for the Expository Writing Examination for the fall 2010 semester. You may find the schedule and registration for the exam at http://www.gs.howard.edu/pass. Please contact Dr. Gwen Bethea at [email protected] for further information.

The
expository writing exam will be given as a
computer-based exam. Only a few slots will be
made available for those students who have
special needs and/or prefer to take the exam on
paper.
