In this short course, participants learn a proven framework for writing and editing their work—with help from generative AI and guidance at each step on how to work effectively with gen AI as a planning, drafting, and revising partner.

This course is appropriate for attendees who use gen AI but want a writing-specific focus and for those who will be experimenting with AI tools for the first time. Participants will practice using gen AI for audience awareness, tone of voice, prompt engineering, and more. We will focus our sentence-level edits on stylistic hallmarks of AI-generated copy.

With AI’s ability to mimic artists’ voices, write lyrics, and mix beats, its imitation of creativity directly impacts how music is made: muddling ownership, training models on artists’ music without their consent, and creating music that sounds devoid of human emotion. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift is making headlines for purchasing her full recording catalog. As other artists follow her lead in owning their masters, what impact will this have on record labels and the industry as whole? On Thursday, November 20th, join us for a conversation on the artistic process, legality of ownership, and implications of AI on the everchanging music industry, featuring: Eric Dickstein (C’21), Professor Kristelia García, Professor Benjamin J. Harbert, and Andrew Paulus (B’11). Register at the

Since the early 1980s, philosophers have claimed that we are the narratives we tell about ourselves. As the cognitive psychologist Jerome Bruner put it, “Self is a perpetually rewritten story.” Professor Daniel Shore argues that the philosophers are right to treat the self poetically, as something we make, but they are mistaken in limiting that selfhood to the realist prose narrative fiction of the novel.

On November 12th, join Professor Shore as he examines literary tradition before the rise of the modern novel and explores the alternative models of how to be a self. Register at

What is coaching? Coaching is a creative and thought-provoking partnership designed to unlock
your potential. A skilled coach provides a safe space for you to explore solutions, overcome
limitations, and stay accountable.

Unlike mentors who share wisdom from experience, consultants who offer expert advice, or therapists who focus on mental health, coaches empower you to find your own path forward.

Here’s how coaching can elevate your growth:
✅ Set clear, achievable goals
✅ Build confidence and support well-being
✅ Boost motivation and maintain focus
✅ Gain fresh perspectives and navigate challenges
✅ Strengthen skills through feedback and guidance
✅ Overcome limiting beliefs and get unstuck
✅ Track progress and celebrate achievements

Unlock Mentorship Value! What is a mentor? A mentor can be understood as a person who takes a personal interest in your career and guides or sponsors you at any point.

How can a mentor support your development?
1. By sharing specific knowledge or understanding
2. By connecting with people outside of your network
3. By providing a fresh perspective of what is possible
4. Helping you navigate periods of uncertainty and transition
5. Helping you identify your strengths and areas to improve
6. By enhancing your resilience, through emotional and morale support

What can mentorship look like?
• It can be one-time session or a long-term relationship
• It may be formal or informal
• You can have one or many mentors for different areas or needs
• Professionals at any age can benefit from this type of relationship
• It’s a two-way relationship, where both benefit from the interaction

Are you interested and don’t know where to start? Think of people who have supported you in your career and begin nurturing relationships with people whose perspectives you respect.
