Two specialites. One business. πŸŽͺ

Party! Dallas didn't duplicate work β€” they untangled it.

Drape and furniture rentals look similar on the surface, but the ops are completely different. Drape needs ceiling height, wind exposure, and a two-day head start. The bar? Day-of. Different timelines, different install crews β€” so they separated them entirely.

Now each side of their business runs on its own system, its own schedule, and its own logic.

That's how you scale a specialty rental operation without the chaos bleeding between jobs.

β†’ Save this if you're managing more than one rental type under one roof.

The warehouse manager at a 6-person shop told us she spent two years tripping over the same problem before someone finally said, "why are we sorting by item type instead of by event?" One afternoon of reshuffling later, load times dropped and the whole crew stopped guessing.

Every rental business has a version of that story. The fix was obvious in hindsight β€” it just took the right person getting frustrated enough to try it.

What's yours? Drop the one warehouse or ops change that actually moved the needle for your team.

Ever wish you could just... copy an entire setup on a contract instead of rebuilding it every single time? πŸ‘€

That's exactly what's new in Goodshuffle Pro this month β€” rental pros can now copy and paste line items and packages straight across contract groups, with pricing and tax rates staying intact. It came straight from user requests.

Quantity edits got quicker too β€” click a field, edit inline, no extra panel. And warehouse crews get more precise pull sheets with a new subcategory filter, plus a new Day of Contact field so delivery crews always know who to call on-site.

What would save YOU the most time in your contract workflow right now? Tell us below πŸ‘‡

100 issues of Busy Season also means 100 issues of Mallory telling rental pros exactly what she thinks.

Fire the difficult client. Raise your prices mid-season. Stop apologizing for not answering a text at 9pm.

We went back through every issue and pulled her best lines into one video β€” and then turned the rest into 100 pieces of advice for running an event rental business.

The client said they loved the quote. But that was three weeks ago.

For most event rental businesses, the gap between 'client is interested' and 'contract is signed and deposit is in' involves at least three separate actions on the client's side: open the PDF attachment, find the DocuSign (or print-and-scan), and then pay the deposit through a separate link or invoice. Each step is a moment where the decision doesn't get made today.

Every extra click or extra step in a checkout or sign-up process reduces conversion. The same applies to a rental quote. A client who has to open four separate things to say yes will often not say yes until someone follows up β€” and then it's your time, not their momentum, closing the deal.

For event rental businesses evaluating how their current booking flow compares: what does the client experience look like between receiving your quote and the moment the deposit clears?

Running a boutique rental business in 2025 looked different for a lot of folks.

Not because they added more inventory β€” but because they changed *how* they run it. Tighter processes, smarter pricing structures, cleaner client communication, better boundaries.

What's one thing you shifted in your business this year that you wish you'd done sooner?

The internal struggle is REAL. πŸ˜…

The quote's been sitting in their inbox for almost two weeks. You've refreshed your email 47 times. You don't want to be *that* vendor β€” but you also have inventory to hold and a date that won't wait.

(We see you.)

The pros who've cracked this? Automated follow-up emails that go out on their own β€” so you never have to choose between pushy and patient.

Here's how rental pros are setting it up β†’ https://pro.goodshuffle.com/blog/new-in-goodshuffle-pro-quote-expiration?fbid=fbpost_07-01-26

Busy season is in full swing β€” which means most of you are deep in it right now.

We're teaming up with NYX Entertainment & Events to host one evening that's just for the people who actually run events in the DMV. No agenda. No keynotes. Just drinks, light bites, and real conversation with folks who know what this season actually feels like from the inside.

The Midsummer Mixer is July 8, 4-7PM. Whether you've been in this industry for two years or twenty, there's a seat for you.

Are you in the DMV? Tell us what you do β€” we want to know who's coming. πŸ‘‡

Event pros: skip the chaos for one night. Drinks, real talk & new connections. NYX Events x Goodshuffle Pro. July 8, 4–7PM.

Client approved the arch. Then they emailed back, asking to add a second one for the cocktail-hour space. Same balloons, counts slightly different, same install labor β€” just more of it.

How long does that take you to update and re-quote right now?

In Goodshuffle Pro, Copy + Paste Line Items lets you pull over items from one part of your quote into another. Add the ability to bulk edit quantity and you've just scaled the whole order in a few clicks. No rebuilding from scratch. No touching each line individually.
The client gets an updated quote before they've had time to wonder if you forgot about them.

If your quoting process for add-ons still involves a lot of copy-typing and mental math, this one's worth a look.
