Standing at the shoreline, Md. Mazharul Islam reflects a journey defined by perseverance, purpose and growth.
After spending eight years in the engineering field, Islam returned to graduate school at UDC balancing academics, family and life in a new environment. Along the way, he endured personal loss, dedicating his achievement to his late father, whose memory continues to inspire him.
Supported by faculty, mentors and peers, Islam earned his second master’s degree in civil engineering and has since accepted a position with Gannett Fleming TranSystems.
His story is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when opportunity meets resilience.
