Delta Epsilon Sorority

Delta Epsilon Sorority Individually Unique, Together Complete.

The Alpha Chapter of the Delta Epsilon Sorority, Gallaudet University's first Greek-letter sorority, came into being on April 24, 1953. It was founded by four young women:

Eloise Bolen ('55, West Virgina), who also served as the first president
Elizabeth Ann Lister ('55, Canada)
Joan Macaluso ('55, Louisiana)
Gloria Wojick ('56, Connecticut)

The purpose of Delta Epsilon Sorority is to promote t

rue sisterhood among its women by inculcating into their hearts and lives those principles of truth, honor and duty, without which there can be no true sisterhood.
