Happy Friday, happy weekend, happy Easter, and happy dog! I don’t know about y’all but I am feeling the spring time! Now that I’m in Washington DC and the East Coast you can truly feel it with the daffodils, tulips, crocuses and cherry blossoms! 🌸

In that spirit, I wanted to post and let y’all know that I am ready to travel again! So get ready for more community college transfer fun! AND I’ve been meeting so many incredible dogs and puppies in DC! And because I loooove wearing flowers as y’all know I decided to share the love! I cannot wait for puppies all over DC to start popping up with flowers around their neck! Sure do hope they tag me and sure do hope you enjoy!

Day 2 of my first ever last month was through...ARIZONA! 🏜☀️🐍

is home to 21 , many of which have additional branch campuses in various communities to reach more students in rural areas.

Two of Arizona's colleges are on the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society ( ) TRANSFER HONOR Roll! WOO HOO! Way to go AZ! 🏆🥇🎉

• Northern Arizona University () NAU provides dedicated transfer student resources to help make the to the University as smooth as possible: https://nau.edu/transfer-online-connections/

• Prescott College () Prescott has many regional transfer partners, and recognizes the Arizona General Education Curriculum (AGEC) and other state-based transfer frameworks such as California’s Intersegmental General Education Transfer Agreement. https://www.prescott.edu/transfer-prescott-college-0

In addition, the University of Arizona () and Arizona State University () both have very transfer friendly websites. They seem to really embrace the commitment, experience, and diversity that transfer students bring to their campuses. There are several pathway agreements in place between the schools in-state community colleges: https://transfer.arizona.edu/ and https://admission.asu.edu/transfer

NPC is located in the heart of the Southwest and their service area includes the tribal homelands of the Navajo, Hopi, and Apache peoples. In fact 33% of students at NPC are American Indian/Alaskan. NPC is a two-year, HLC accredited public community college, serving about 7,000 students annually in a wide range of courses and programs.

The first state up on the was...CALIFORNIA! Day #1

The California Community Colleges system is the largest system of higher education in the country! There are 116 community colleges in California and over 2.1 million students in the system. As you can tell I was very curious and interested in the environment at Barstow Community College 🐕😂🐿

In fact, one in every four community college students in the NATION attends a California community college. According to the California Community Colleges incredible webpage and data site, 29% of University of California graduates and 51% of California State University graduates started at a community college. Nearly 80,000 student each year to the University of California and California State University systems! And that is not including the numbers of students who transfer to other universities and private colleges that have great transfer supports such as Loyola Marymount University (shout out to Member Tom Gutto 😉) and others!

Having had the amazing opportunity of being a Transfer dog hanging out in the transfer center at UCLA, I got to see all the various UC campuses and their terrific transfer supports, so of course, I have to mention the AMAZING supports and throughout the UC system. UCLA Transfer Student Center, UCLA Center for Community College Partnerships, UCLA Engineering Transfer Center, TRV Program at UC Merced, UC Davis Transfer and Reentry Center, UCI Transfer Student Hub, UCR Transfer Resource Center, UCSB Transfer Student Center, UC Berkeley Transfer Student Center, UCSC Transfer Prep Program, STARS at UCSC, , , and sooooooo many other amazing resources!

There are sooooooo many Ca Community Colleges so we stopped at Barstow Community College to represent the 116 amazing Community College System! BCC is located on State Route 247 in the Mojave Desert region of San Bernardino County, CA., approximately 120 miles from both Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The college district covers the area from the Nevada state line, bounded by Kern and Inyo counties and the San Bernardino mountains. BCC serves the communities of Barstow, Lenwood, Newberry Springs, Daggett, Yermo, Hinkley, Ludlow, and Baker. Barstow Community College also provides on-site instruction to the U.S. Army National Training Center at Ft. Irwin and offers online classes through Distance Education.

Hey there folks!

Sorry for the silence on my account lately! I have been SUPER busy with Transfer business! In fact, I don’t know if you’ve heard or follow Transfer Nation, but I just completed the first-ever ! I got to travel with Adams and visit universities and community colleges along route 40 from LA to North Carolina (where I will now be living for a little bit)! Figured I’d share the transfer knowledge that I gained here if you’re interested! ...Not to mention that I also saw a jackrabbit for the first time, and armadillo, and a muskrat! 🐇 🐕 Holy smokes, let me tell ya squirrels 🐿 hold nothing to those animals!!!! Whaaaa?!??

I decided to be a princess for Halloween… But a girl can’t put on a crown and sit at home all day so instead I’m gonna head to , hang out at UCLA Transfer Student Center and have a costume party! who’s going to come hang out with me and take Halloween selfie’s?!? And/or go trick-or-treating 😉 With Heather Adams
