Civil and Construction Engineering Technology at Hawkeye Community College They do hands-on work and use high-tech equipment under the direction of engineering staff or physical scientists.

The Civil and Construction Engineering Technology program prepares students for entry-level work with civil engineers, contractors, architects, and government agencies at the city, county, and state levels as well as the public. Civil engineering technicians apply the theories and principles of civil engineering technology and surveying technology in planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of structures and facilities.
