Lake Area Technical College (LATC) continues its success at the National Skills USA Competition, where Jacob Hoffmeister won the gold medal in the Criminal Justice competition. This achievement marks the third consecutive year that Lake Area has been represented on the podium for Law Enforcement. Additionally, Devin Brisson placed 9th in the Diesel Technology program. The event provided a valuable experience, and we look forward to next year's competition. Notably, Skills State Competition will be hosted at Lake Area for the next three years, offering students an opportunity to enhance their skills. We extend our gratitude to the advisors who prepared these students for the events.

The National Skills USA Competition is currently underway, wishing Devin and Jacob success as they compete. Jacob is participating in Criminal Justice and Devin in Diesel Technology. This event provides excellent networking opportunities and allows them to further bolster their impressive credentials. The Opening Ceremonies delivered impactful messages for the students entering the workforce.

It was by far one of the most exciting events our Esports student-athletes got to participate in and will be a memory these three get to share for the rest of their lives. Thank you, Kaian, Garrison, and Braydon, for your dedication to the team, to the program, and to LATC. Congrats on making it to the NECC Apex Finals, a great achievement for them and for our program. Good luck with your next steps into the workforce. You guys are ready to do great things!
