What a wonderful feeling it is to have our second years back on campus after completing their clinical rotations!! Great photo opportunity to catch both years together as we wear green to observe Mental Health Awareness Week. 💚 The end of the year feels are strong! Filled full of excitement for Graduation next week and closing this chapter for the class of 2026!!

Yesterday, the first-year Surg Tech students took part in LATC's healthcare mega sims, an exceptional experience providing a simulated feel of a potentially emergency surgical case. Thank you to Dr. Greg Gerrish for taking time out of your busy schedule to come up to campus with us! Having you be able to show the importance of each step of an emergency surgical case and and take the time to explain is so valuable in guiding these students out into the real world and become great Surgical Tech’s!!!!

We gave "pass the mustard" a new meaning in today's lab! First year students are in the midst of learning laparotomy, bowel technique and anastomosis.

First year Surg Tech students had very special speaker yesterday! We are truly blessed when Dr. Jacob Schaeffer stopped in for a visit!!! Student listened and learned all about General Surgery! Thank you again for taking time out of your very busy schedule to visit us at LATC!!!
