Today, we pause to remember September 11, 2001—a day 25 years ago that changed our nation forever. We remember the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and in the fields of Shanksville, Pennsylvania. We remember the firefighters, police officers, first responders, military personnel, and ordinary citizens who ran toward danger as others tried to escape. And we remember the families and communities whose lives were forever changed.
