Four of our very own SWOSU College of Pharmacy students are competing in the 2027 Miss SWOSU Pageant!

We are excited to cheer on Rena Cole, Dakota Duke, Anna Shaw, and Gabrielle Clayton!

We love seeing our student pharmacists getting involved on campus and representing our Pharmacy Family beyond the classroom.

💊 Why Pharmacy?
There is not just one answer.

For some, it starts with a personal experience. For others, it is a love of science, a desire to serve, or the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life.

What do pharmacists do? Probably more than you think.

Pharmacists play an important role in the health of their patients and communities. They:

💉 Immunize and help protect their communities
🧪 Provide testing and screenings
💬 Educate patients and promote better health
📣 Advocate for patients and the pharmacy profession

At SWOSU College of Pharmacy, our students are gaining the knowledge and hands on experience to make an impact in all of these ways and many more.

Pharmacy school is challenging, but the people beside you can make all the difference. 💙🐾

At SWOSU College of Pharmacy, our smaller class sizes help create a community where students know one another, faculty know their students, and friendships grow well beyond the classroom.

As one of our students, Amelia Kerr, put it:

“My favorite part of being a student in the College of Pharmacy is the people. All of my peers and professors are extremely encouraging and thoughtful. They create a genuine sense of belonging.”

This is more than where you earn your Pharm.D. It is where you find your Pharmacy Family.

October is American Pharmacists month! 💊💙

All month long, we are celebrating the pharmacists, student pharmacists, preceptors, faculty, and Pharmacy Family members who care for their communities every day.

We may be a little biased, but we think pharmacy is a pretty incredible profession.

Throughout October, we will be sharing a little more about what pharmacists do, why our students chose pharmacy, and the many ways our Pharmacy Family is preparing to make a difference.

Congratulations to Brina Thomas, Phi Lambda Sigma’s September 2026 Leader of the Month!

Brina leads through service, mentorship, and a genuine desire to help others feel supported and included. She currently serves as President of Kappa Epsilon, President of sOSHP, and Substance Use Disorder Co-Chair for Phi Lambda Sigma.

From fundraising and service to planning professional and social opportunities for her fellow student pharmacists, Brina continues to make a difference throughout our College of Pharmacy.

We are proud to have leaders like Brina as part of our Pharmacy Family. 💙🐾
