Weatherford College alumnus Tejay Antone has returned to the major leagues with the Cincinnati Reds, becoming just the third player in MLB history to pitch again after undergoing Tommy John surgery three times. A memorable postseason run came to a close for Weatherford College Baseball this weekend, but not without one more signature moment.

After five losses to McLennan this season, the Coyotes delivered when it mattered most, knocking off the No. 10 Highlanders 10-8 in a back-and-forth elimination game. Jake Overstreet powered the offense with two home runs and five RBI, helping WC push across runs in four different innings and hold off a late rally.

The Coyotes then went head-to-head with Midland for the Region V title. The Chaparrals capitalized early and never let up, ending Weatherford’s season with a 13-1 decision to advance to the NJCAA Division I World Series.
