Everyone, please join me in congratulating our very own Dr. Linda Woolf, who has been elected as 2026 APA President-Elect/2027 President of the American Psychological Association!
The American Psychological Association (APA) is the leading professional organization for psychologists in the United States and the largest of its kind worldwide. Its membership exceeds 172,000 and includes scientists, educators, clinicians, consultants, and students.
Dr. Woolf’s vision, Many Voices, One Psychology reflects her lifelong commitment to ethics, diversity, human rights, and global engagement, values she brings to life every day here at Webster. As both an alumna (BA in Psychology, ’79, and MA in International Relations, '21) and long-time professor of Psychology and International Human Rights, she has inspired generations of students through courses about topics such as the Holocaust, mass political violence, human rights, ethics, and peace psychology.
Beyond Webster, Dr. Woolf has a history as a respected leader in the APA, serving on the Council of Representatives, chairing major task forces, and leading multiple divisions. Her election is both a recognition of her tireless work and a historic moment for Webster University.
Please join us in celebrating Dr. Woolf on this remarkable achievement!
