Pride recently got a free copy of Beyond, a Q***r sci-fi and fantasy comic book anthology, and what better time to share it than during Trans Awareness Week! Please click on the link below to download the anthology in .pdf form. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B08ppwmEStV_VG5DXzRfV3VFMlU/view?usp=sharing

Many thanks to the co-editor of the anthology, Sfé R. Monster, for giving us this anthology for free. As per their request, please consider donating to Trans Lifeline (http://www.translifeline.org/), a non-profit organization who runs a hotline focused on providing support to Transgender people.

Sfé also has another comic anthology (this time focused on Q***r paranormal romance!) going on sale for half off, with all proceeds going to Trans Lifeline. Click here for more details: http://othersideanthology.com/post/153230347440/in-light-of-recent-events-and-inspired-by-beyond

Babson College departments will be holding open office hours in the Diversity Space for students.

If you, or someone you know, is struggling, would like to talk, just needs a quiet space to reflect, to sit in the silence or in their frustrations you are welcome to come to the Diversity Space in Park Manor Central. There will always be at least one staff member sitting in the space for you to talk to and be together.

Snacks, water bottles, pillows, tissues, and a space to heal are provided.

There will be plenty of food and drinks! Come check it out!

In wake of the devastating mass shooting of LGBTQ individuals in , please consider donating blood (preferably O-, O+ and AB) to a donation center if you happen to be in the area. The donated blood will be used to aid those wounded in the shooting.

As OneBlood has announced that it is in a crisis, they will not turn away any donations, including those from gay men.

(EDIT: OneBlood has tweeted that it is still following FDA Guidelines regarding blood donations. We'll update this post when more information is available.)

We'll be making a follow up post soon with more details about what happened, as well as a list of LGBTQ organizations in Orlando to donate to, should you feel like doing so. Our hearts go out to the victims of the Orlando mass shooting and their family, friends and loved ones.

A list of blood donor centers/bloodmobiles is available in the article below:

Hundreds of Central Floridians, searching for a way to help the victims of the shooting spree at the Pulse nightclub, lined up to donate blood this morning at OneBlood.

Q: Why did you choose to live in Pride?
A:"I lived in Pride Tower for my sophomore year, and I really enjoyed it. Everyone in the tower is really cool, very laid back and I just really enjoy living in that type of community. I like to cook, so having a kitchen was great for me and I often used it to cook dinners with my friends on Sunday nights for Family Dinners. Overall, the community is just very welcoming and fun to live in, and I'm glad that I made the choice to live here when I did."
Apply to live in Pride and maybe Ali will cook a meal for you!

"What's your favorite thing about living in PRIDE tower?"

"A lot of people ask me why I didn't want to go for a suite senior year. Honestly, I think a lot about how my last year would've been different living there. But I guess you can say that I live here because my best friend at Babson does. The reason now is much more than that. My favorite part about living in PRIDE is how inspired I am by those I've met and become closer with by living in the tower. I've learned so much by living here. They've showed me how to be a better ally and have taught me how to stand up for what I believe in. Living in PRIDE has allowed me to embrace challenging everything, especially Babson. Some of my closest friendships are in this tower, and it's definitely a great place to live."

Apply to live at Pride Tower! Applications are due Feb 21st.
