MEETING: December 1, 2021

Brethren,
The year is drawing to a close. 2020 was the year of the pandemic. 2021 will have been the year of the aftermath. We did not succeed in putting on our own reunion. However, some were able to take advantage of the vast reunion resources of San Antonio. We were able to celebrate our feasts. I feel that the Feasts of Remembrance and Renewal, Kadosh, and Tishri were all done decently and in order. I look forward to a better 2022 and I intend to support the incoming Venerable Master in all his endeavors.
Please plan to attend for both dinner and the meeting. Bring a bottle of your favorite fruit o’the vine as we may have a toast or two to old friendships and better times ahead.
Remember, January 5, 2022 will see the election of new officers for our Lodge of Perfection. Be giving that some thought as we get ready to move forward.
Thank you all for my year in the East. I couldn’t ask for a better bunch of brothers and friends.

BRETHREN,

THE FEAST OF TISHRI FOR RIO GRANDE LODGE OF PERFECTION XIII WILL BE HELD AT NANA’S TAQUERIA 1802 S. INTERNATIONAL BLVD. IN WESLACO ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 3RD AT 6:30 PM. WIVES AND FAMILY ARE INVITED. EACH WILL PAY FOR OWN MEAL AND DRINKS. SINCE WE WILL BE A LARGER PARTY, THE TIP WILL BE INCLUDED.
We will be seated in the open air courtyard and we can do some social distancing if desired.
The Feast of Tishri is our Scottish Rite Fall festival. It coincides somewhat with the Thanksgiving season, thus, besides food, drink, and fellowship it is a ceremony to toast and be grateful for the institutions and people who are part of our lives.
This year’s Tishri promises to be a great evening and celebration under the stars.

Olivia is fixing ribs for supper at RG LOP XIII on Wednesday. 😋We’ll have some wine 🍷and display the Beauceant. I'll do the short lecture on the 30th° to illustrate Kadosh, then go to the regular meeting.

Just a bit of a report on last April’s meeting. Thanks to our Junior Warden, Miguel Wise, the Llano Grande lodge hall had been deep cleaned and looked great. Thanks to our Senior Warden, Dennis Burleson, Olivia Wright was there and had a great dinner ready to enjoy. It seemed like the good days might be coming back. Thanks Olivia! We sat social distance-wise, enjoyed the food, and visited. I thought about something I’d heard sometime a while back, about it being good when brothers dwell together in unity. We even had a guest who spoke about Masonry in Panamá. The meeting was short. We looked to the future. In all, things were good. Brothers, it’s time to come back. I hope to see you in May. We have much to do.
