⚡️It’s that time of the year⚡️

Electronics Engineering Technology (EET) sophomores on the Wesson campus are busy designing and constructing their dual polarity, AC-DC variable power supplies. CNC-based printed circuit board fabrication is used here.

Chevron and Entergy Mississippi presented to Automation and Control Engineering Technology (AUT), Electronics Engineering Technology (EET), and Electrical Technology (ELT) sophomores last week at the Co-Lin (Wesson) campus.

Chevron discussed their current expansions/projects, new platforms, need for oil and exploration, career opportunities as well as expanding to offer 10 internships.

Entergy discussed the need for technicians at their new natural gas powered plants in Vicksburg, Greenville, and Ridgeland.

Thank you to businesses and industries like these - for your effort in supporting students and educators in these technical programs.

All current (2024) EET graduates have obtained employment with companies such as Hitachi/ABB (control wiring/testing/QA tech), Nissan (maintenance/robotics tech), Walmart Distribution (maintenance tech), BSS (biomed electronics tech), Reeds Metals (maintenance), and more. Starting hourly wages in excess of $32/hour (plus benefits) isn’t uncommon for some graduates.

EET is a rewarding and challenging 2-year A.A.S. Degree program on the Co-Lin Wesson campus. Our world today needs skilled technicians more than ever! Haven’t given an update in a while but wanted to share a recent addition to the program! We now have A/C in the lab! Want to give a special thank you to Andy Cain - Instructor, and students of the Electrical Technology program, Kevin Hutchinson - Instructor and students of the Heating and Air Conditioning Technology program! They all done a great job and I am extremely grateful for their hard work on the installation of the unit! Cooler days are ahead!! ❄️❄️
