1.) Since the Dietetic Technician/Dietary Manager are part of the school of Health Sciences all students are required to petition. What are my career options once I get my degree?
-There are many options for Dietetic Technicians and Dietary Managers. Options include: Hospitals,Long Term Care Facilities, H

ealth Educators, Nutrition Educator, Wellness Coach, Nutritionist, Food Service Manager, Nutrition Manager, Food Sales Associate, Community Nutrition Educator, Restaurant Manager, School Cafeteria Manager, Hospital Cafeteria Manager, Public Health Agency Worker, Correctional Facilities, Government Agency, Prison Kitchen Manager, Health Clubs, Sodexo, Compass, etc.

3.) What are my resources to assist with my job search?

4.) Do I need to get all my general education classes completed before starting the program?
-No you don't need them done. It is actually advised to take them while in the program classes.

Congratulations to Dani, a Dietetic Technician student in our program who was selected as a WTCS State Ambassador!

As ambassador, I think I can help students, but I want to especially help the Latino community. I feel I have a voice that is being heard, and I know how they feel because I have been in their position.

MATC community, It is with heavy heart that I share the news that Betzaida "Betsy" Silva passed away on Friday, March 20th, after a courageous battle with cancer. Betsy was a long-time faculty member in the Nutrition and Dietetic Technician program, and retired in the summer of 2025 to focus on her health.

She was a joy to be around and a positive presence for both students and those in the community she worked with.

Per Betsy's wishes, no obituary will be published.
