Dear Students,

Welcome to a new academic year at West Chester University. Whether this is your first semester at WCU or your last, I’m very glad you are here!

One of the ideas at the heart of our Action Plan is to Foster Moments — to create and take advantage of the experiences, sometimes big and sometimes very small, that can shape your time at WCU. So, my challenge to you this year is simple: try something new. Take a class that stretches you. Join an organization. Attend an event. Meet someone you might not otherwise meet. Some of the most meaningful parts of a college experience begin with a moment you could never have planned in advance.

We’re also continuing to look for ways to make your experience at WCU better. One important example is our new One Stop Student Service Center, located on the first floor of Francis Harvey Green Library. One Stop brings a number of important student services together in one place so getting the help or information you need is simpler. And it’s easy to find, just head to Starbucks at the library.

Above all, remember that WCU is here for you. Hundreds of faculty and staff come to work every day because we believe in what higher education can make possible and because we want you to succeed.
