Kevin Cremona '08, an electromechanical design engineer for Collins Aerospace, contributed to the NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration Artemis II mission. Kevin's responsibilities included electronics packaging and harness design for mission critical Environmental Control and Life Support systems (ECLSS) provided by Collins Aerospace to Lockheed Martin used in the Orion Crew vehicle.

Mike Casey | 2015

Mike, a Los Angeles-based alum, released his 11th album, The Complete In The Before: Live at the Side Door, recorded in Connecticut at one of Downbeat's "Top 100 Jazz Clubs" in late February 2020 weeks before the world changed. You can listen to the album on all platforms.

Aaron Mambrino | 2006

Aaron was appointed president and chief financil officer at AVINA INC. Aaron brings more than 25 years of multinational leadership experience across a range of industries, including medical, aerospace, and automotive.

Yifrah Kaminer | 2000

Grant Engrav | 2010

Grant, co-founder of Engrav Law Office in Portland, Oregon, recently celebrated the firm’s ten-year anniversary, marking a decade of providing comprehensive legal services across multiple practice areas.

Justin Wilcox | 2014

Justin was recognized by Forbes as a top CPA in Connecticut. This was Justin's second time being named to this list as a result of his work with complex tax issues for corporate clients and his innovative cryptocurrency practice.

Amber Tucker | 2006

Amber is one of six partners with FML (Fiondella, Milone & LaSaracina) recognized as Best-in-State by Forbes. Amber is co-chair of the nonprofit practice at FML.

Danielle Abi-Saab | 2000

Danielle traded her career in science research for creative outlets. Her debut novel Veil of Silence will be released in June 2026 and will be available at all major online bookstore sites.

Risa Lubins Waters | 1999

Risa recently achieved earning her clinical license in social work. She is an LCSW and is opening her own private practice office called Reflective Waters Therapy. Risa is a member of the Rosen Society.

⭐️ Alumni Spotlight: AJ Masthay '97 ⭐️

Hartford Art School alum AJ Masthay will be featured in Mattatuck Museum's newest exhibit: Psychedelic Splendor: The Concert Art of AJ Masthay & Helen Kennedy.

Masthay, who trained in printmaking at HAS, opened an eponymous letterpress studio in 2001, working across printmaking techniques, including lithography, linoleum-block printing, and giclée. Using these skills, Masthay independently designs and prints gig posters for counterculture, rock, and jam bands performing throughout North America.

We love a good love story ❤️

Sheila Mark '78 will be celebrating her 75th wedding anniversary with her husband, Dr. Howard Mark. Sheila's daughter, Dr. Robin Santiago, shared her mother's story with us.

Sheila earned her degree from the University of Hartford in 1978, graduating as class valedictorian, and went on to devote over twenty-five years to serving seniors at the Mandell JCC of Greater Hartford. Her return to school as a mature student was a testament to the same determination and love of learning that has defined her entire life—and that she passed on to her children and grandchildren.

Dr. Santiago adds, "Seventy-five years of marriage is almost unimaginably rare—only about 0.0016% of married couples in the United States ever reach this milestone. My parents are among them, and the values they share—dedication, resilience, service, and an unshakable commitment to family and community—are the foundation of everything they’ve built together."

Join us in congratulating Sheila and Howard on this incredible marriage milestone. Thank you, Dr. Santiago, for sharing your parents' story with us.
