🎓 Ready to take the next step?

UHart is excited to partner with New Haven Public Schools to support the educators and staff who help students thrive, while helping them reach their own goals, too.

Eligible NHPS employees receive 10% tuition savings on select graduate programs, plus an application fee waiver.

“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to investing in the educators and staff who shape the future of our communities,” says Erica Brilhart, executive director of graduate and professional studies at the University of Hartford.

✨ More Than Just a Walk!

Starting college can be exciting, but it can also come with stress, new routines, and plenty of changes. What if something as simple as taking a walk could be part of taking care of your mind and body?

Dr. Sanchez recently presented her research, “Physiological and Perceptual Responses to Mindful vs. Control Walking in BIPOC Women,” at the ACSM Annual Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah! 🧠💪🏽

Her research explores how mindful walking may affect both the body and how we experience exercise.

For incoming students, this is a reminder that wellness doesn’t always have to be complicated. Sometimes, taking a moment to slow down, get outside, and be present can make a difference. 💚

The Hydration Health Center at UHart continues to make waves! 💧

From the national stage to hands-on student research, the Center is creating meaningful opportunities and advancing conversations around hydration and health.

As part of the America 250 celebrations, Executive Director Colleen Muñoz participated in a panel discussion at the Great American State Fair on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

For student researcher Alexandra Magrey BS'26, the experience was just as impactful:

"By far the most valuable aspect of being a research assistant was being able to apply concepts and skills that I had only ever theoretically learned about in my classes. It was incredibly rewarding to finally put some of that knowledge to real-life use."
