🌏 UHart DPT students traveled to Saipan for hands-on clinical experience at Eucon Medical Health Services. This third annual trip gave students the chance to learn in a new cultural setting while providing care to the local community.

Big congratulations to CETA graduate student Jagbir Singh Shergill! Shergill recently presented groundbreaking research on delta wing vortex behavior, combining CFD simulations with experimental data, at the ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) FEDSM 2025 conference in Philadelphia under the mentorship of Professor Ivana Milanovic. He also coauthored a study on integrating AI, COMSOL, and inquiry based learning into engineering curricula to boost student autonomy and research skills.

His dual contributions at a major national conference highlight the innovative and hands on research opportunities available through UHart’s graduate programs. Read more🔗➡️

Students in UHart’s MS in Prosthetics and Orthotics program are making an international impact.

This spring, four students traveled to Kenya and Peru to help design, build, and fit prosthetic limbs for people in need. In Kenya, Sierra Stout ’25 and Jake Lieberstein ’25 helped deliver five 3D-printed below-the-knee prosthetics for children. In Peru, Abigail Schwartz ’25 and Ian Riccielli ’25 assisted in fitting 60 upper and lower limb prostheses.

These experiences—led in partnership with , Dreaming and Working Together , Hanger Clinic, and Hartford HealthCare —offered students hands-on clinical training while helping transform lives.
