SLHS student Isabella Ross is starting her fourth year as a Purdue College of Health and Human Sciences Dean's Student Ambassador.

As an ambassador, Isabella connects with prospective students, families, alumni, and visitors, helping them discover what makes Purdue HHS and the SLHS program such a rewarding community to be part of.

Thank you for being a welcoming face for HHS and for sharing your passion for Purdue with others. Boiler Up!

Orientation Week was the beginning of a journey and the start of a community.πŸ–€πŸ’›

Our incoming Speech-Language Pathology students spent the week learning about the program, preparing for the semesters ahead, and connecting with classmates who will be alongside them every step of the way.

From professional introductions to moments of laughter and friendship, Orientation Week offered a glimpse of what makes SLHS special: a community that supports one another while pursuing a shared commitment to helping others communicate and thrive.

We're excited to welcome this new cohort to Purdue and can't wait to see all they accomplish.

🌧Rain couldn't stop the SLHS Welcome Back Picnic.

When the weather changed our plans, the celebration simply moved indoors, bringing students, faculty, and staff together in the Lyles-Porter Hall atrium to kick off the Fall 2026 semester.

The afternoon was filled with good food, familiar faces, new introductions, and plenty of conversation. Moments like these help build the connections that make SLHS more than a department. They help create a community.

Thanks to everyone who joined us. Here's to a great semester ahead!πŸ–€πŸ’›

πŸ’ͺStrong research communities start with strong connections.

During Orientation Week, SLHS PhD students and faculty gathered at Nine Irish Brothers for an evening of conversation, networking, and community building. From discussing research interests and career goals to sharing experiences and exploring future collaborations, the event provided a welcoming space for new and returning doctoral students to connect.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We're excited to continue building a supportive and collaborative PhD community throughout the year.πŸ–€πŸ’›
