At Purdue Promise we are supporting victories and heroes!

Purdue Promise offers holistic support for students so they can be successful both as Purdue students and Purdue Alumni. A current student shares, “I see Purdue Promise as more than just a financial support. To me, it has been a true support system that helps students like myself succeed academically, professionally, and personally.” One of Purdue Promise’s goals is to remove barriers to success. “Purdue has already given me so many opportunities to grow through academics, leadership and real-world experience, and programs like Purdue Promise help make those opportunities more reachable.”

We support victories & heroes at Purdue Promise!

Fletcher graduated in May 2025 and shortly after graduation he drove all the way – to Fairbanks Alaska! Fletcher is an environmental scientist for a geotechnical and environmental consulting company. Purdue Promise goes over financial wellness in our GS 197 and GS 405 courses. “I owe it to Purdue Promise that I am smart with my income and have adopted good habits when it comes to my money.” Our program also does an annual study abroad trip. “If I had not studied abroad with Purdue Promise in Scotland, I would not be the leader that I am now.” Fletcher plans to help everyone he can the way Purdue Promise helped him. He believes the lessons he took from the program aren’t just meant for him, or for Purdue students, they can be utilized by anyone.

“There is an opportunity to learn and grow behind every problem one encounters and that is one universal lesson I took from Purdue Promise.”

We graduate heroes at Purdue Promise!

In 2018, Emily earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with a focus on Law and Society and a minor in Psychology. She has completed her Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology through Purdue Global and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education in Innovation and Leadership through the same program. She also served in the Army Reserves, which played a big role in shaping her discipline and perspective. Thank you for your service Emily! She also volunteers with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Greater Lafayette.

“Purdue Promise made it possible for me to earn my undergraduate degree without taking on debt, which completely changed my trajectory. Because of that foundation, I was able to pursue graduate and doctoral education.” Emily feels volunteering is a direct extension of what was given to her!

We’re starting Purdue Day of Giving strong with an Alumni testimony!

We support victories at Purdue Promise!

Haley graduated in 2019 with a Bachelors in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the College of Pharmacy. She’s since started a career in Clinical Research as an Oncology Clinical Research Associate. She travels to hospitals all over the country! She also visited six countries just this year! She also plans to pursue a Master’s Degree in Clinical Research. “The most memorable part of Purdue Promise for me was the relationship I built with my coach over the four years I was partnered with her. I feel like she gave me a lot of guidance and advice as a first-gen college student when I felt lost and overwhelmed.” Haley hopes to pay it forward in the future by being a Purdue Promise alumni donor. “I know how much of an impact it made for me, and I’d love to be able to do that for someone else.”
