OLLI at Bradley University OLLI at Bradley University is an organization of over 1,200 area residents, from age 50 to 98, who want to stay vital as they reach and enjoy retirement.

The Bradley University Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) is a group of over 850 individuals, age 50 and over, who learn together through three distinct programs, OLLI Classes, OLLI Learning Trips, and OLLI Study Groups.

OLLI's Canadian Rockies Adventure Continues:

Day 5 of OLLI’s Canadian Rockies adventure did not disappoint! Our travelers began the morning watching an elk feed while they enjoyed breakfast. Then, they traveled along the breathtaking Icefields Parkway to the Athabasca Glacier, where they had the incredible opportunity to walk on the ice.

Who is Pete Souza? He is an award-winning photojournalist, bestselling author, and former Official White House Photographer for President Ronald Reagan. He later served as Chief Official White House Photographer and Director of the White House Photo Office throughout all eight years of President Barack Obama’s administration.

We’re kicking off September the OLLI way with curious minds, engaging conversations, and members learning together!

This week, our members began exploring two fascinating study groups: Christian Nationalism examines the relationship between American national identity and Christian faith, including the connections among religion, government, patriotism, and the separation of church and state. Hollywood Goes to War! takes members through five powerful World War II films: Hacksaw Ridge, Flags of Our Fathers, Das Boot, Midway, and Patton to discuss how Hollywood portrays war and its impact on the people caught in it.

Another unforgettable day in the Canadian Rockies!

We stopped at beautiful Bow Falls before lunch, where Maggie and Andrea paused to take in the incredible view. Then it was off to Sulphur Mountain for an exciting gondola ride to the peak—climbing 2,292 feet in just eight minutes!

The breathtaking scenery was worth every second, and as a bonus, we captured a fantastic group photo at the top!

Good morning here is another Canadian Rockies OLLI Trip Highlight! 🇨🇦 There was no time to sleep on the bus to Banff, the views were outstanding! We even caught a glimpse of the beautiful Three Sisters mountains. On our way to Lake Minnewanka, we spotted some bighorn sheep. Kathleen and Sigmund enjoyed a stroll along the beach, while Lanell, Mike, Lisa, Jim, and Terry climbed one of the huge rocks along the shoreline.

We ended the day with a wonderful welcome dinner at Park Distillery Restaurant and Bar in Banff. Everything was served family-style and was absolutely delicious!

OLLI is having an unforgettable adventure in the Canadian Rockies! While exploring Calgary, Jane and Steve bravely stepped onto the glass overlook and Jackie Orren decided to give it a try, too!
The fun continued at the Calgary Stampede Grounds, where Rich and Nikki Mitts tried out the horses. Next up was WinSport for some bobsledding! Jayne and Steve gave it a try, followed by Lisa and Jim. What an exciting day filled with new experiences, laughter, and wonderful memories! 🇨🇦
