From Brian Horowitz -
Fordham Track & Field Family,
I hope you had a wonderful Labor Day weekend.
In case you missed it, our cross country teams opened their season at Stony Brook this past weekend. I am proud of their results and, even more so, the way they have carried themselves through this recent transition. They have remained self-driven, disciplined, and dedicated to the success of the overall team. I’m confident there is a lot of success ahead for both XC teams this fall and the track & field program later this year.
As I’ve said before, while my time directly leading the program has ended, Fordham will always be home. I’m writing to share an opportunity for alumni to stay connected and support the program.
A group of alumni (Steve Facini, Larry McGivney, Chris Weimar, and Patrick Hafford) is working to organize the Fordham Spiked Shoe Club into a more official alumni organization and network. They are looking for more support and engagement from you.
The goal is simple: to give alumni a collective voice and create more opportunities to support current student-athletes through mentorship, career connections, and continued involvement.
I plan to keep supporting our student-athletes, and I hope you’ll consider doing the same.
If you’d like to be involved:
1. Add your name and contact information to the alumni spreadsheet so you can stay informed:

2. Share the link with former teammates or other Fordham track & field alumni who may want to reconnect.
Thank you for everything you’ve done for this program. I hope we can continue building something meaningful for our current student-athletes and the future Rams to come.
Go Rams!
Brian
