For those in the DC area this Friday, join our SOSH cadets as they take on Navy in the 11th annual Army-Navy Debate Classic!

The event is open to the public and all are welcome to help cheer on Army to victory.

Joining us as judges for the competition will be Senator Manchin, (I-WV), Representative Darrell Issa, (R-CA), Representative Pat Ryan, (D-NY), and ADM(R) Mullen, 17th Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff.

The West Point Model UN attended Georgetown University's National Collegiate Security Conference (NCSC) in Washington, DC -- the top-ranked conference of the fall semester. West Point performed exceptionally, with seven delegates taking home individual honors. West Point MUN thanks Secretary General Kevin Piraino and the team at NCSC for hosting an informative and exciting conference. The team looks forward to returning next year!

Introducing new cadet delegates to the circuit, West Point performed exceptionally well and earned awards in specialized, historical, and general assembly committees. West Point MUN thanks Secretary General Kenny Fischer and the team at CIAC for hosting an informative, exciting conference, and the team looks forward to returning next year!

Cadets from the International Affairs Forum (IAF) visited New York City to tour the UN and engage with officials from the Canadian and Croatian Consulates and the Canadian Mission to the UN on October 11. Meetings with Canadian Consul General Tom Clark and Ambassador to the UN Bob Rae focused on shared values and how the US and Canada collaborate to secure and defend sovereignty and the North American perimeter. Croatian Consul General Nikica KopačeviΔ‡ explained how his office engages his country's diaspora community. And in touring the great halls of the UN, the cadets learned about multilateral diplomacy and three founding pillars of the UN system: peace and security, human rights, and development.

On September 27, cadets from the International Affairs Forum and related clubs attended a reception in New York City hosted by the Croatian Consulate. In his headline remarks, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic offered an overview of the biggest contemporary challenges and opportunities facing his country and discussed the strong bilateral relationship with the United States. Cadets also got to engage with the Croatian Foreign Minister and the Ambassador to the U.S., as well as with members of the Croatian diaspora living in New York.
