Congratulations to our Mercer County Community College Medical Laboratory Technology Professional Phase students who took time this past week to celebrate this exciting milestone at the 59th Annual Commencement Ceremony at the CURE Insurance Arena! 🎓🩺🧪

While commencement marks an incredible achievement, these students still have important clinical experiences ahead as they continue developing the hands-on skills required of future laboratory professionals. We are so proud of their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to patient care and laboratory medicine.

We also look forward to officially celebrating them again in August when they earn their MLT diplomas and participate in our Programs Pinning Ceremony at the Kelsey Theatre. ❤️

Prof. Shave and her newest little one were especially grateful to be able to cheer everyone on through the livestream and celebrate this special moment from afar.

Congratulations again to our future Medical Laboratory Technicians. The finish line is in sight! 👏🔬

Exciting news for the MLT program at Mercer County Community College! 🧪

We are proud to announce a new 3+1 partnership with Stockton University that will give students a clear pathway to earn both their Associate of Applied Science in Medical Laboratory Technology from MCCC and a Bachelor’s degree from Stockton.

This new pathway helps students continue their education, prepare for national certification, and step into one of the most essential (and often unseen!) roles in healthcare — the clinical laboratory professional.

We are incredibly excited to work alongside Stockton University to help grow the next generation of laboratorians and strengthen the healthcare workforce in New Jersey.

Step into the future with the medical laboratory profession!
Join ASCP BOC in adopting accurate, unified nomenclature. At the ASCP BOC Board of Governors (BOG) fall 2025 meeting, the board approved a number of changes to titles of ASCP BOC credentials. This is an overall move by the ASCP BOC and its federated partners to unify and advocate for the laboratory profession. It’s more than a credential change from technologist to scientist; it’s an upgrade to your professional identity, aligning with the latest standards and fostering greater recognition. Don’t miss out on being part of this pivotal movement. Learn more about the new nomenclature here https://bit.ly/4p1sEiC.
