In memory of Kings alumni Tim Jesser (1979 - 2002) we got outside and cleaned trash out of Alum Creek. Even though it was cut short by rain, we had a great time and hope to make this an annual event. Thank you to Preston Smith and all the the alumni who helped make this possible. Hail Kings!

It’s been a little quiet in here…

Here’s a post to catch you up on what we’ve been doing!

Since starting another school year back in August, we’ve been pretty busy. We helped Boy Scout troop 560 unload over 2000 pumpkins for their annual pumpkin sale! We had a blast at homecoming! We’ve been in the process of bringing in our newest Knight Class. On Sundays we’ve been getting into some pretty competitive football games out in the yard. Finally, in preparation for spooky season, we did our annual pumpkin carving with our sisters in Theta.

Thank you to David P. and all the alumni that cooperated in his effort to get us back into the page. More posts coming soon!

Today, the chapter recieved some unfortunate news. It is with heavy hearts that we must share that one of our founders, Ford Swigart, has passed away. Brother Swigart lived a life of service, as exemplified by his 38.5 year career as an English professor and the ideals of loyalty to God, Country, Brothers, and Otterbein that he helped to build this Fraternity upon. By striving to also live by those ideals we hope to champion his legacy, and so hold true as brothers unto the end of time. We shall never forget you Brother, Godspeed.

Ford Harris Swigart Jr. 88, of Indiana, passed away Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017, at Indiana Regional Medical Center.

Happy birthday to our Brother, Alexey! Your cultural background helps bring us new ideas and challenges our ways of thinking. We are so proud of how you are never afraid to speak your mind about the things you care about. Your compassion and love knows no end. We couldn't imagine Kings without our Russian. Have a great day!

Thank you everyone who came to our Final Dinner tonight! We wanted to have a special shoutout to All In Flavor.

All in Flavor provided all of our sweets from the past Rush weekend, including this absolutely fantastic cake with our Crest on it! Yes, it tasted exactly as fabulous as it looks! This amazing work is all thanks to Samantha Holler Jones. Along with creating some of the most delicious food we have ever eaten, Samantha is also the mother of Active, Gabe Jones. (Pictured center in the first picture.) Thank you so much, Samantha!

We highly recommend that you think about using All in Flavor for your next event's needs! Super affordable and 100% worth every penny.

All of our love and thanks in Kings and Delta goes to those in and outside of our community that have helped support us as we fundraised for My Very Own Blanket! Our Community Service Chairman, David Parkison, finished the first of 36 blankets that will be given to children in the foster care system. Enjoy the attached pictures of our fox blanket!

Without your support, we never would have been able to do this! Thank you all for everything, and don't forget that you can still donate! Every bit of money that is raised through this GoFundMe will be going straight into buying more blanket material so that the men of Kings can continue to give back to our community!

Every child deserves a blanket. Sadly, there a re some children who still have to go without. Kings and Tau Delta are trying to change this by partnering with My Very Own Blanket to make blanket for the thousands of children currently in foster care.

But, we need your help.

The cost to buy 30 blankets worth of materials can be anywhere between $300-$450. We are trying to raise at least $300 of our $450 goal so that we can purchase the materials necessary to make 30 no-sew blankets at our election night community service event.

Along with our GoFundMe, Kings and Delta will be tabling at the Campus Center next week to raise money for this event as well. We are not selling anything, but rather asking for donations based on jars labelled with who the students want elected. Whichever jar raises the most money is the candidate who wins! We will also have info about My Very Own Blanket at the table for more information for anyone who wants it.

Any and all donations help. Please, donate whatever you can so that we, donors included, can make sure that we help to give warmth, kindness and a smile to every child who may be struggling right now.

Thank you all.

On election day, the 50 members of the Kings and Delta are planning to make at least 30 blankets together to help this amazing cause. To do this, we need to raise at least $3...
