On October 19th, members of the Paramedic Program, Paramedic Fire Science Program, and EMS Interventions course took part in the Fall open house. It was a great time to meet prospective students, do EMS skills demonstrations, and meet members of the public.

Last week we had visit from Children's Minnesota specialized critical care ambulance. The Children's staff was kind enough to come down and talk to our paramedic students about critical care transport of pediatric patients. This very beneficial as our students are currently covering special populations as part of their course work.

We would like to extend our thanks to the Children's staff for taking time to come down and share their knowledge with our students.

Here's the view from our control room during our live birth simulations earlier today. This was a simulated birth using our high fidelity birthing simulator being run over our video system from our control room. We strive to create the most realistic environment possible for our simulations.

Today was a very exciting day for the EMS department here at Century College. For the first time in many years we had an entire graduating class pass the National Registry psychomotor exam on the first day! 19 members of the Fall 2021 graduating paramedic class, and three members of the Fall 2021 Paramedic Fire Science Program challenged the hands on portion of the NREMT exam, and did an excellent job.

We want to extend a huge congratulations to all of you, wish you the best of luck on your written exam (which we are sure you will do well on). Your countless hours of hard work have finally paid off. We hope you enjoy your new careers, and a well-deserved break in studying.
