A badge built to honor America’s 250th anniversary.

This custom badge for the Pasadena Police Department is filled with patriotic detail, from the waving American flag foundation to the proud red, white, blue, and gold finish. At the center, the design features text honoring the Semiquincentennial while incorporating elements of the Texas state seal, tying the national anniversary back to the department’s Texas identity.

The shape gives the badge strength and presence, while the full design feels formal, proud, and unmistakably American.

Designed and made in the USA, this badge is a fitting way to recognize the 250th anniversary of our country and the officers who will wear it with pride.

Thank you to the Pasadena Police Department for trusting Smith & Warren with your badge.

The Faribault Police Department’s new squad graphics look outstanding.

Their custom badge, designed through BadgeStudio, Smith & Warren’s full custom badge design service, is now carried beyond the uniform and featured directly on their vehicles. That is one of the most important parts of a full custom badge project.

Every BadgeStudio project includes a full-color vector media file as a key deliverable, giving departments the artwork they need for squad graphics, signage, letterhead, social media, press conferences, and more.

A well-designed badge becomes more than a uniform item. It becomes one of the most visible symbols of your department.
If your department is considering a full custom badge, BadgeStudio gives you the design support and professional artwork needed to build a consistent visual identity across every touchpoint.

As we approach the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, many departments are reflecting on a day that shaped our nation and the public safety community.

To honor this moment, we created the September 11th 25th Anniversary Badge Program, centered around a USA-made commemorative badge designed with care and intention. The design respectfully incorporates the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and Flight 93—symbolism created to reflect and honor.

Departments may personalize the badge with their name, rank, and badge number, creating a badge that is both thoughtful and personal.

• 10% of all badge sales will be donated to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

New BadgeStudio Project: Shakopee Police

The Shakopee Police Department worked closely with our BadgeStudio team to create one of the most intricate badges we have designed.
Like many BadgeStudio projects, this design started with a conversation. Their team came prepared, engaged, and focused on telling the story of both their department and the city they serve. The result is a badge built around local history, landmarks, and symbols that are distinctly Shakopee.

At the center of the badge, the story unfolds through several carefully chosen details:
* Bison and tipi, representing the local Dakota history and the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community’s recent work to reintroduce bison to tribal land.
* Five rays or stars, representing the department’s core values.
* Lewis Street Bridge, connecting the design to one of Shakopee’s recognizable landmarks.
* Canterbury Park with horses, referencing one of the city’s most well-known destinations for live horse racing.
* Minnesota state shape with a star, marking Shakopee’s location within the state.
* Roller coaster, recognizing Valleyfair and its place in the city’s identity.
* Subtle city skyline, rolling land, and landscape, tying the full composition back to the local landscape.
This badge is a strong example of what a custom badge can become when a department brings a clear story to the design process. Every detail has a reason. Every symbol helps make the badge their own.

Thank you to the Shakopee Police Department for trusting Smith & Warren with your badge.
