Christmas joy for kids, courtesy of BC Westchester alum!! Huge thanks to Renee (Riethmiller, ‘95) and Keith Alexander for hosting an amazing Chapter Christmas party and Toy Drive - gifts for kids in need of Christmas joy in our area in partnership with several local organizations. Thanks as well to all BC Westchester alum for turning out, our Steering Cte for such active engagement this year. Women and Men for others! Here’s to Renee and Keith! Merry Christmas to all!

BC Westchester Eagles on the Volunteer warpath this past weekend - bringing joy and care to our community around Thanksgiving with four amazing service projects - Renee Alexander led 60 Westchester BC alumni, parents, and families to pack over 500 brown bag lunches (including 1,000 sandwiches!)for the homeless and hungry in New Rochelle, Port Chester, and the Bronx. We ended up partnering with our friends from Fuller Center for Housing which came to collect food and clothing that many people also donated! Jack/Peggy Kennedy and Greg Mihal led a group of Eagle alum in Northern Westchester donating turkeys and Thanksgiving joy at St. Marys Food Pantry in Mohegan Lake - a long standing wonderful partnership, and Kevin Jackson led fundraising and turkey collection for over 70 turkeys distributed to WHEDCo - a huge logistical undertaking thanks Kevin and all who donated to Kevin’s leadership efforts here. We also partnered with feeding Westchester on Friday in Elmsford and look to do more with them in the years ahead.

Big thanks to Renee, Kevin, Jack/Peggy and Greg for leading us in service. And most importantly to our amazing Westchester BC Alumni chapter members for always putting service to others before all else! Proud to be an Eagle! Go BC! Happy Thanksgiving to all!!

Beautiful day for a BC Eagle hike and fall foliage day on the trails and the beautiful Rockefeller State Preserve! Thanks to all for joining in the fun and rocking the Maroon and Gold - and to Peggy/Elizabeth/Michele for coordinating. Hope to see everyone for our Thanksgiving Service projects! For Boston!

BC Westchester alumni, family and friends shared a memorable night with BCs amazing spokesman Jack Dunn this week. Jack filled us all in on everything going on at our beloved Heights, with a passion for BC that runs deep through Jack. Great times had by all. Join us May 17th for our spring Global Day of Service with Fuller Center!

Boston College Wall Street Business Leadership Council Tribute Dinner!!! This year, will honor alum René F. Jones ’86, P’25 with the President’s Medal for Excellence at the annual Wall Street Business Leadership Council Tribute Dinner in New York City on April 23, 2025.

Currently the CEO of M&T Bank–which makes him one of only a few Black CEOs in the Fortune 500–René also serves as a steward of the Council for Inclusive Capitalism and on the capital advisory committee of Aux21, a seed-stage firm investing in the future of global commerce with a focus on companies led by immigrant founders.

This can’t-miss celebration provides financial aid for the incredible students who are part of BC’s Gabelli Presidential Scholar Program!

BC Westchester Women and Men (and kids!) for others last Saturday. Three volunteer service projects - at Don Bosco Community Center, St Marys Food Pantry, and …. For the third - We crushed our “100 bag challenge” delivering well over 250 bags of food to Feeding Westchester. Happy Thanksgiving Eagles everywhere!
