New this football season: UW-Whitewater Warhawks Light Ale!

UW-Whitewater Athletics and Duesterbeck’s Brewing Company have partnered to create UW-Whitewater Warhawks Light Ale, a beer available to guests 21 and older inside the Champions Club starting at this Saturday’s Warhawk football game! This locally-brewed beverage includes a can designed by UW-Whitewater art major Makai Johnson, son of Duesterbeck’s owners Ben and Laura Johnson.

Warhawk alumni — make plans to stop by the Champions Club, located beyond the north end zone near the scoreboard, to connect with fellow alums before or during the game! Be one of the first 100 alumni to check in at the Alumni Association table and you’ll receive a free Warhawk koozie while supplies last.

The first home game of the season is on Saturday, Sept. 5 at 1 p.m. as the Warhawks take on Carleton College for Senior Day presented by DLK!

UW-Whitewater alumnus Jake Williams ’15 has been named one of NBC Sports’ 10 U.S. Paralympic hopefuls to watch for the 2028 Paralympic Games in Los Angeles!

A three-time Paralympic gold medalist, Williams led Team USA men’s wheelchair basketball in scoring at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris and now serves as head coach of the Warhawk men’s wheelchair basketball team.

Congratulations, Jake! We can’t wait to see what’s ahead.
