Tomorrow is our Service and Professional Headshot night! This is in collaboration with Career Services and the Warhawk Success Closet.

Paid SHRM members headshots are free but still encouraged to donate to a deserving cause. Non-SHRM members and any friends who want to get a professional headshot, it will be $5 or a donation of a piece of professional clothing. Please see out flyer on the previous post for more information!

We had the incredible opportunity to attend the Metro Milwaukee SHRM Chapter X Milwaukee Bucks event last week! This was our second year in attendance and we hope to keep this tradition going for years to come. We were able to bond as a group, network with other professionals, take a tour, and watch the Bucks game. We even got to see a Bucks win!

A huge thanks goes out to Milwaukee Bucks Inc. and Metro Milwaukee SHRM for inviting us to this event again. The presentation from Bucks CHRO Kelly Kauffman was very interesting and insightful for all of us. We always enjoy attending this event and have so much fun while there!

Are you interested in or want to learn more about being the future of our student organization? We encourage you to join us for our e-board meeting TOMORROW Tuesday, 3/19, immediately following our meeting. You will be able to see how an e-board meeting works and ask questions about our open positions and e-board in general.

For the month of February we would recognize Mandy Sullivan as our Member of the Month! She is currently a senior studying Human Resource Management.

Mandy was chosen for her involvement in SHRM activities as well as serving as a resource to her peers for internship opportunities at her place of work. She has already landed a full-time, post-grad opportunity and we are so excited to see the incredible work she will do in the professional world!

For tomorrows meeting, Elaina Lund will be joining us to discuss performance management. Following the meeting, we will be going to Cozumel for a dinner outing! If you would like to join us, please stick around after the meeting so we can get a headcount and figure out the carpool.

Also, our Membership Forms and Dues were due last week. However we will still accept Rolling Membership Forms and Dues incase you missed the deadline but are still interested in joining! The process to become a member will stay the same throughout the semester, but the price will increase by $5 for both local and national members.

Our membership dues and Google form are due Friday, February 16 at 11:59 p.m.!

A reminder on the steps to become a SHRM member:
1. Complete a membership form
- Google form link in bio 
2. Consider being a national SHRM member for a discount on dues! (*see benefits package post)
3. Venmo @ Izabella-Romandine, cash, or check (write check to UWW SHRM) for dues
- $15 if you are a national SHRM member
- $20 if you are a local UWW member
4. Submit Google form and email Izabella at [email protected] with any questions

Reminder that we also have a new membership reimbursement program to help 4 members become national SHRM members. If you are interested, please submit the google form application. This will be due the same time as our membership form and dues, Friday February 16 at 11:59 p.m.!

Are you struggling to decide whether to become a National SHRM member? Our benefits packages are a great way to see the benefits of being either a National or Local member!

To become a member you must complete the membership form (link in bio) and pay your dues to Izabella via cash, Venmo -Romandine, or check written to UWW SHRM. Both are due on Tuesday, February 13 at 11:59 p.m.
