Grace Pfaffle and Eli Carter with Alissa Russel (Special Collections Librarian) and professor Todd Giles at the Celebration of Scholarship, where Grace presented “A Magazine of Verse: Examining Harriet Monroe’s Open Door Policy and its Effect on Poetry Publication” and Eli presented “A Snapshot of Progress: The Progressive Tactics at Play in McClure’s Magazine during the Turn of the 20th Century,” both written in Dr. Giles’ Midwest Modernism class last fall.
