Wichita State University is seeking qualified applicants for a Graduate Assistant Athletic Training position working with Baseball. Responsibilities include providing injury prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation for student-athletes. Additional responsibilities include supervision of athletic training students, maintenance of injury, treatment, and rehabilitation records for student-athletes, team travel with assigned teams, assist with instruction of athletic training classes, and other duties as assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine. This is a two-year position that includes a competitive stipend, in and out-of-state tuition waiver, books, NATA dues, state licensure fees, cell phone stipend, continuing education assistance, health insurance, and fees for 9 graduate credit hours per semester. Additional income may be available through outside events and sports camps. Anticipated start date is July 24, 2023.
Requirements
BOC required by start date. Collegiate athletic training experience at Division I level is preferred, but not required. Prior collegiate experience with baseball is preferred, but not required. Applicant must meet admission requirements for graduate school in desired degree program. Exercise Science and Sports Management programs require 3.0 GPA for last 60 hours of college credit.
