Sigma Alpha Epsilon - Wichita State University

Sigma Alpha Epsilon - Wichita State University Wichita State social fraternity building True Gentleman since 1967 We compete in campus events, intramurals, and participate in many community events.

Founded in 1967, the Kansas Gamma chapter of Wichita State has seen over 500 undergraduate men go through it's chapter. Sigma Alpha Epsilon was founded in Alabama in 1856, by eight men wanting to build an organization based on friendship and high values. This fraternity was to be only for the utmost respected men of their area and of men with only the highest sense of scholastic achievement and of

course, all members were to be socially respected. Locally, Sigma Alpha Epsilon provides a support system for undergraduate men, with 50 young men all holding each other accountable. We also host the WSU Shockerthon each year, most recently raising over $100,000 for Children's Miracle Network.

We wanted to take today to honor our wonderful seniors leaving us this semester!

First on the list is brother Kobe “Dang that man can sing” Ford who will be graduating with his degree K12 Music Education and be a certified music teacher. He loves kids and plans to teach at the elementary level in Wichita.

Next up is Jake “Bake Jivens” Bivens. Jake will complete his degree in Applied Computing, after which he will begin his internship with the Health Care Service Corporation in Chicago. He's interested in cyber security positions afterwards.

Third we have got Brayden “Play me in Fortnite” Pavey. Brayden, the second of three KSGA SAE’s in his family, has earned his degree in Exercise Science. He plans to continue at WSU and pursue Physical Therapy school in June.

Last but not least is Logan “Grillmaster” Rutledge. Logan has a major in international business with a minor in Spanish. He is finishing his degree from home while working an internship this fall. After school he plans to work and save up to pay for taxidermy school.

All of these fine gentlemen have made a huge impact on SAE and the members, we would not be the same without them!

Join the SAEs for one of our longest-standing traditions: Trike Races! Contestants will be competing in singles for $2 each or $5 for 3, as well as $10 for a four-person relay team. This event will be your organization's key to winning the brunch courtesy of our brothers, as Paddy Murphy points are weighted towards the fastest times among trike racers. Check out our final highlight for the talented artists selling their work at Paddypalooza!

"ICT Fashion Tour is a new event series highlighting our local fashion creatives. Our team is constantly on the lookout for new and emerging textile artists (as well as seasoned ones) who are interested in showcasing their creations at our future shows. In addition, we are also always recruiting volunteer models of all sizes and genders to represent and celebrate body positivity and gender diversity." -

Alan Nguyen's business "Alan Art Co." is a colorful display of works across many media such as watercolor prints, alcohol inks, room decor, and greeting cards. He's also known for bringing art supplies to perform interactive art demos with the public!

Brenda A.K.A. SEEULATERBEE is a multimedia artist who can paint you a mural, customize your shoes, or come up with a great design for your life. She'll be live painting on the front lawn during the performances 🎨

Koji T. Liby's Artwork and Oddities is an eclectic mix of spooky goods that'll bring a supernatural vibe in your home. From sculpted animal remains to ceramics and illustration, Koji can bring any image to life. .osaji

Let's introduce the rest of Paddypalooza's lineup!

The Josué Estrada Band is a jazzy, psychedelic set loved all over Wichita. Jam out like it's the 1920s with the bands' horn players and on-the-spot improvisation.

DJ Dru3 will be curating his own hyped up hip hop set to keep the vibe lit throughout the night. Get ready to rage with contemporary hits from one of ICT's growing DJs 🎧

Indigo Sol is debuting with their first live performance at Paddypalooza and we're honored to host them! Led by performer Khyah Van Es, she and her bandmates will bring a groovy, Soul/R&B sound to the concert that Wichita won't forget.

Paddypalooza's ready to show off our newest addition to the event: our talented artists who will be selling their work on our front lawn! Here's some info about these talented individuals:

Lear Heath Studio: Patrick Heath and Jae Lear are a dynamic duo known for their wide mix of art available, such as Pat's photo-realistic drawings inspired by pop culture and Jae's unique abstract work filled with patterns of color. They've vended at over two dozen events and even have a studio set up at Towne West Mall!

Mims Jewelry: Molly Smith has the perfect handmade jewelry for your next night out. Her resin earrings, necklaces, and other designs have been a hit with Wichita's vending community. Stop by her booth for the pop of color you need!

Alexis Slupski: Lexi's trippy multimedia art spans across her original paintings, prints, and hand-sewn fabric goods. Check out her table for dreamy vibes and exclusive looks to spice up your outfit.

The Picnic Basket: Run by Kirsten Cosper, her booth will be loaded with colorful paintings, stickers, and other products with imagery from your favorite childhood cartoons as well as original works. Don't forget to harvest some quality art from her booth!

It's time to introduce a few of our musicians performing at Paddypalooza!

Bottlecap Daydream is a 3-piece, crazy high energy band with an indie/alt rock set that'll blow you away. They've performed at the Cotillion, Oddfellow Hall, Brickyard, and countless more venues as they've toured the Midwest.

Keo & Them is led by Keo (of course) and her varying cast of artists to produce an unforgettable R&B/soul sound you'll be bumping all night long.

DJs Sunshine & FRANKEE are a combo DJ act ready to jam out with a mix of old-school rap as well as contemporary vibes curated for the evening. You can also catch them holding their signature karaoke nights around town at places like AJ's at Northrock Lanes and Club Rain. and

We're hyped to have so many talented musicians performing at our house, but even more excited to help the Children's Miracle Network! Your $5 donation will go a long way to save and improve the lives of disabled children in Wichita. Stay tuned for more!

This year has been an amazing one for our chapter of SAE! We started off with some amazing beach themed volleyball nights! We also had an amazing class of new TGs join us to start off the school year. Our annual Mac and Cheese with SAEs event brought in an amazing crowd and helped us raise money for Childrens Miracle Network! We then hosted an amazing formal to wrap up first semester! The spring semester we have competed in intramural basketball, serenaded Tri Delta for Hippodrome, cleaned up trash in surrounding parks, and most recently our brother Spencer Harris took home the Mortar Board Legacy Award at Greek Awards 2022! Keep an eye out for posts about our upcoming Paddy Murphy Week and all the amazing events that come along with it!
