Secretary Moukthika Sri Padamati

Moukthika Padamati is an incoming sophomore at Wichita State University. She is currently on the Pre-med track, completing her Bachelor’s in Health Science with minors in Honors, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Public Health and Psychology. Moukthika participates in biomedical research through the Developmental and Integrative Systems Biology (DAISY) Lab and in her free time, she loves to dance! Moukthika specifically dances Indian classical, but any style is fun to her.

Meet the the 2026/2027 HEALTH Student Association Executive Board!

Treasurer LaShawnda Parker

LaShawnda Parker is a senior majoring in Health Management with a minor in Healthcare Administration. She plans to build experience in administrative roles before pursuing her goal of becoming a Director of Administration. Ultimately, LaShawnda aims to open her own residential center for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She is honored to serve as the Treasurer of HEALTH. Outside of academics, LaShawnda is passionate about working at Starkey and volunteering at the Down Syndrome Society of Wichita. In her free time, she enjoys CrossFit, practicing yoga, traveling, and spending quality time with her niece and nephews. LaShawnda is excited to be part of HEALTH and looks forward to developing the organization's reach while gaining valuable leadership experience.

Meet the the 2026/2027 HEALTH Student Association Executive Board!

Vice-President Courtnie Laws

Courtnie is a junior in Health Management program, building on her AAS degree from Butler Community College. She has more than 12 years working as a mental health advocate for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities ensuring they feel, seen and heard, while striving to put a smile on everyone’s face she comes across. She currently serves as Vice President and Event Coordinator for HEALTH where she can bring awareness to prominent issues and create positive change. Courtnie enjoys helping others by being a strong advocate and being a confident voice for those who don’t have one. Being part of HEALTH is a golden opportunity to grow and educate others about issues affecting her community. Outside of school and work, Courtnie loves spending time with her family and using her creativity as an outlet. She enjoys sewing, diamond painting, and making different projects with her Cricut. She also loves cooking for her family.
