Congratulations to Communication Sciences and Disorders MA student Olivia Kerr! She represented the College of Health Professions at the WSU Service Learning Showcase on April 15th. She presented on her service learning experience designing an adapter for respiratory training devices for clients with mobility impairments. She also created a public repository for the 3D files, instructions so others can replicate the assistive technology, and released it all under a free-use creative commons license.

Do you find the sound of people chewing unbearably annoying? Or perhaps you can't stand to be near folks who are typing on noisy keyboards, fidgeting with their pens, or rustling a plastic bag of chips. The term for this sort of aversion is misoph...

Here we go!....
Another amazing semester underway with WSU GoBabyGo!

Last week, our GoBabyGo chapter officially kicked off the semester! We welcomed 40 passionate students who are ready to change lives through mobility.

It wasn't just about the cars; it was about the connection. Our teams spent the evening:

🗣️ Meeting their VIPs: Learning the stories, needs, and "favorite things" of the amazing children they’ll be serving.

📝 Doing the Homework: Researching specific mobility challenges to ensure every modification is perfect.

🤝 Collaborating with Pros: A huge thank you to our community volunteer therapists who mentored the students through child assessments and interview prep!

This is interdisciplinary magic in action—engineers, future clinicians, and creators working together. We are so grateful to the generous donors who fund these builds and make independence possible for these kiddos.

Stay tuned—delivery day is coming this May! 🛠️✨
