Our President Pinkard had the pleasure of sharing the honor as a Parity, Inc., Top Ten African American Male. The event at Sinclair Community College celebrated the community service of nine other African American Males in the Dayton community. Congratulations, Dr. Pinkard!

The Wilberforce University Hounds of Sound marching band is in New Orleans, Louisiana to participate in the Mardi Gras Parade! 🥁
The 147-member WU band, under the direction of Dr. Virgil Goodwine, is scheduled to perform in New Orleans starting on Saturday, Feb. 18th
Sat, Feb. 18 – Krewe of Tucks Parade start time 12:00 pm
Sun, Feb. 19 – Krewe of Bacchus Parade start time 5:15 pm
Mon, Feb. 20 – Krewe of Orpheus Parade start time 6:00 pm
Tue, Feb. 21 – Krewe of Zulu Parade start time 8:00 am

We are beyond excited to welcome Dr. Hasan Kwame Jeffries, Associate Professor of African American History at The Ohio State University as our guest lecturer for our Bayard Rustin Lecture Series, set for today, February 2, 2023 at 2PM on the Wilberforce campus.
The lecture series sponsored by Dominion Energy, features leaders who are committed and connected to the legacy of social justice inspired by Wilberforce alum, Bayard Rustin. The event will be in-person and open to all students, staff and faculty on-campus along with streaming live via our social media channels.
