History was made at Eastern Oklahoma State College as we welcomed the Native All-State Softball Game to campus!

More than 20 student-athletes representing 10 tribal nations came together for an unforgettable evening celebrating culture, community, and competition. The event marked the first Native All-State Softball Game hosted within the Choctaw Nation and the first game played under the lights in the 36-year history of EOSC Softball.

Eastern was honored to welcome Choctaw Nation Chief Gary Batton, members of the Choctaw Nation Tribal Council, including Councilwoman Jennifer Woods, Choctaw dancers, Choctaw princesses, student-athletes, families, and fans from across Oklahoma.

We are proud to have served as the host site for a night that celebrated both the game of softball and the rich traditions of Oklahoma's tribal nations!!

Growing more than plants at Eastern!

Located adjacent to the Goddard Livestock Center in Wilburton, Eastern's Horticulture Center features two greenhouses totaling 5,760 square feet, providing students with hands on learning opportunities in greenhouse management, plant production, aquaponics, landscape design, and sustainable growing practices.

These facilities serve as living laboratories where students gain real-world experience through coursework, plant production, community projects, and student employment opportunities.

The Horticulture Center also supports community engagement, educational workshops, and future expansion plans designed to strengthen agricultural education in southeastern Oklahoma.

At Eastern, students don't just study horticulture, they experience it firsthand.
